"I've never participated in a webcast."
"All that technology; It's really hard to understand."
"I just don't have the time to learn to do it."

Well, chances are you already understand webcasting better than you think and you probably completed each step logging into a webcast in your first ten minutes at your desk today without even knowing it.

One of the first things you did today was probably to click on your e-mail program icon, and then enter your user name and password. Logging into a webcast consists of exactly those three steps, only they have different names:

  • Instead of clicking on your e-mail program icon, you click on a link in an e-mail
  • Then, instead of entering a user name, you enter your 'Meeting Key'
  • And finally, instead of entering a password, you enter your 'Meeting ID'

Another thing you probably did in your first ten minutes at work is use your telephone. You may have even been dialing a number listed in the body of an e-mail and that is exactly what is done to connect to the audio portion of a webcast. It's as simple as dialing a phone number, then entering an extension. Again, they have slightly different names:

  • Dial the toll free number provided with the registration e-mail
  • Then, enter the 'Participant Code' which is the same thing as dialing an extension

That's it!! You are now ready to participate in a webcast! It's as easy as Log On, Call In, Interact!
